procrastinating
Today I deleted all the Boston/Somerville communities from my lj friends list. It felt right, although sad.
I’m supposed to be doing reading for my classes next week. I don’t have stuff due until Sunday, but I want to get into the cycle of being just slightly ahead instead of just barely making it. I have a little time to do that now, since things haven’t really started up yet. I also have this great big desk in my “pod” at school which I’d like to make use of. So far I am keeping a pair of flip flops and a sweatshirt here. I also brought some trailmix to keep in my desk today, but it’s not salty enough, and I don’t think I’ll eat it. Maybe tomorrow I will bring some other snacks, some pens and pencils, and maybe even pictures of loved ones (could be you!). It’s one of those desk/cubicles where the wall is bulletin board fabric. What’s that called?
I have some good whimsies for you too, but maybe I will post them tomorrow. I’ve procrastinated long enough this afternoon. Well, I am forgiving myself a little for it, since I don’t have internet at home (still!) and I had a lot of organizing and blog-reading to catch up on. I am implementing a new note-taking and reading-logging system using Voodoo Pad, which allows me to link pages and keywords easily and export to webpages. I don’t know if I will stick with it, but I will try it out at least for a while. I am also going back to using entourage, although I have internal conflict about whether I like it or ical better. argh.
Anyway, I’d better get back to reading.
