I haven’t written in a while, and not for any good reason. I’ve had a fair amount of time on my hands, but have been wasting it playing Pirates! on the computer most of my waking hours. The Little Red Haired Girl has been understanding though, letting me while the time away these past few days. I think it helps that I have been getting up early to make her little bento lunches to bring to work. Anyway, here are some things brewing around here:

Summer job I think I need one, but I am hesitant to get one. I’m enjoying this time at home doing nothing way too much. I do have some research to do at school, but it’s not a ton.

Car insurance We finally got our shit together and registered our car in Tennessee on Monday. Then we transferred our insurance over. Jeeze, it’s like hlaf the cost. Why didn’t we just do it nine months ago? Typical.

Dentist I need to go. There are things wrong on the right side of my mouth. I have to figure out how to pay for it though. This is one of those things where, like the car registration and insurance, if I just get it over with I’ll be so much happier. I just have to do it.

High School Reunion My tenth is this weekend. Being unemployed and in Nashville, I won’t get to go. There are parts of me that are really sad, especially since some friends have been doing their best to convince me it’s worth it. However, there are parts of me that are relieved to have an excuse not to be there. I never really enjoy those types of things, and always feel crappy afterwards.

The Weather It has been quite cool around here lately. I know I’ll be wishing for this kind of weather again within a couple of weeks, but frankly, I’m cold!

Gary That’s what we accidentally named the cat that adopted us. Now we can’t think of any other name. We’re still trying to find a good home for him, but we are feeding him in the meantime. We are sad for him. He is so sweet, but he makes The Little Red Haired Girl suffocate. He’s really not cut out to be an outdoor cat. When we put food out for him the neighbor cat comes over, hisses at him, then eats it. Gary just steps aside. Now we’ve taken to sitting with him while he eats, which is ridiculous.
