things that have happened
It’s been so crazy lately that I haven’t been able post or read very much. Here are some things that have happened in the last few weeks:
- Birthday Bowling: A tradition started last year when we’d just moved here and didn’t know anyone. The few people we invited then were kind enough to come, but I can’t for the life of me imagine what we talked about. This year we had enough people for 2 lanes, and it was a blast. I don’t know why we don’t go bowling more often.
- Birthday Cake: The Little Red Haired Girl made me a delicious 3-layer white cake with mocha frosting, all from scratch. Delicious.
- School: Classes are in full swing. I’m already feeling totally overwhelmed, and I haven’t even been asked to do work for my assistantship yet. I’m enjoying all my classes though, which is great. I’ve also been getting my work done ahead of time. I’m better at staying ahead when I’m really busy.
- Homeownership: We bought a lawnmower with the gift card that my brother sent for my birthday. I tried to mow the lawn yesterday morning, but I couldn’t start the mower. I knew that it wasn’t broken, I am just weak. When we came home from work/school in the evening, The Little Red Haired Girl started it for me. I was right, I am weak. And pathetic. Next, we need a weed wacker.
- New Little Buddies: We are really enjoying hanging out with them. Everything Guy makes fun of me for not being able to think of better names for them. I will, eventually.
That’s it for now. I won’t say anything about Oliver, because he’s pretty much all I’ve posted about lately. But he’s fab. Just sayin’.
